To match your foundation as close to your face colour as possible, test on the inside of your wrist or your neck! If you have dry skin, stick to liquid foundations as opposed to powdery or mousse based products. And for the oily girls out there, try mousse, creams or liquids that are oil-free and try to get ones that are matte.
For combination skin, find a product that adapts to your natural skin tone, best of both worlds! If you have skin prone to blemishes and breakouts, aim to get a foundation with either medium/full coverage to hide the beasts!
The lower the coverage, the more natural, thin and less-forgiving the foundation. The higher the coverage, the thicker, the less natural but more concealing the foundation. So in my case, the higher the better! Oh God.
