If you have oily skin especially, powder is a MUST! It really is the best friend I could ever ask for. Dust over forehead, chin and nose for a matte, shine free face.
Loose powder gives the most natural look, but if you can use loose powder and not spill it all over your new outfit, you really are a genius. Pressed powder is the most convenient, you can apply it at any time, anywhere and they usually come with a handy compact mirror, hmm, is this a good thing?!
I tend to use pressed powder, but apply using a blusher brush, as it looks more natural than the pad provided, and it lasts longer! If using a powder foundation, I suggest you buy a separate powder for touch ups as if you keep piling on more and more powder foundation you tend to look like a cake.
